Samantha is a first-generation college and graduate student. She received the Margaret Ann Hall full-tuition scholarship to attend Elon University, where she earned her Bachelors of Economics from the Martha & Spencer Love School of Business. After working for a few years, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of obtaining her Juris Doctorate. She earned her J.D. with a Certificate of Social Justice from Santa Clara University School of Law and completed her final year of law school as a visiting student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law.

While in law school, Samantha was passionately involved in various activities serving the community, including interning at the ACLU of Nevada, where she taught record sealing classes; working as a student attorney at the Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center serving low-income consumer law clients, and volunteering at the LGTBQ Center of Las Vegas where her work focused on gender and name change workshops. Samantha worked with Sharine to execute Santa Clara University School of Law's first expungement clinic and helped garner support for SB1045. In addition, she utilized her interest in business and finance while externing for the Business Court Division of the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada in Las Vegas, hoping this knowledge and experience would eventually translate to working with small businesses to elevate local communities.
